Here are some short and easy treks in and around Manali.

  1. Jogini Waterfall Trek

The beautiful trek to Takes you to Jogni waterfalls in Manali. The trek begins from Manali town, after crossing the main bridge over the Beas River and walk towards the village of Vashisht, which is 3 kms away.

  1. Lamadugh Trek

The trek starts from Dungri village near Hadimba temple.This place is a popular picnic spot and offers adventure sports like rock climbing. This is an easy trek and the view of beautiful mountains can be seen during your trek. Peaks like Indrasan and Deo Tibba are visible on this trek.

  1. Balu Musar Trek

This is an approximately 1 hour trek, very scenic. You will reach Sajla village by road which is 10 km from Manali. After you reach Vishnu temple start your trek to Balu Musar. You can see picturesque valleys and waterfalls along the way.

  1. Trek to Old Manali

This trek starts from Nature Park towards Old Manali. It is a short walk of 2 km through Nature Park with tall pine trees as you will pass through forest area with several birds and you can cross the river near Club house. Sports likeriver crossing by rope can be done here. You can also visit old Manali and climb up to Manu temple.

5. Gulam Lang Trek

This trek to Gulam Lang begins from Old Manali. The journey goes along theManalsuRiver with a gradual and slow walk and eventually a steep walk uphill.The trek only takes about 6 to 7 hours.


6. Solang Valley Trek

This is one of the most visited places in the Manali region. The trek to Solang Valley begins from Old Manali and you will cross Goshal, Sannag and Burua villages. This region offers a wide range of adventure activities like horse riding, skiing, ATV rides, paragliding and zorbing. Make sure that you undertake these only through a licensed operator. The trek only takes about 6 to 7 hours.
