About Kheerganga Trek
Kheerganga is the most famous trek around Kasol. A 4-5 hrs hike takes you to hot water spring located at 13,000 ft. Kheerganga. It’s well suited for beginners and remains accessible almost throughout the year. Recent bans on permanent structures have reduced the crowd a little bit, although camping is possible on the top with prior permission of the Forest department.
Level of difficulty – Easy
Starting point – Barshaini (near Kasol)
Height – 2,960 m
The best part about Kheerganga trek is the journey during the trail. From confluence of Beas and Parvati rivers to few waterfalls and wooden bridges make for a great picture story. The top of Kheerganga, however, has not much to offer other than the hot spring. Snow capped peaks can be seen far off behind the lush green valley. For better views proceed to Tunda Bhuj.
