Tosh village

Tosh is a small village located in the Parvati Valley, in Himachal Pradesh. India. This picturesque village is one of the most favourite weekend getaways for many people, both natives and foreigners. Beautiful views of the snow covered Himlayan peaks are visible from this pristine villgae.

Best time to visit Tosh

The village of Tosh is so beautiful that it is a pleasant tourist destination any time of the year. If you want to experience a chilly weather then it is advisable to visit Tosh during the winter months, from November to March. The clear blue skies and the cold weather are a pleasant weather conditions looked forward to by many people.

How to reach Tosh

To reach Tosh, one has to first reach Kasol. Kasol is well connected to Bhuntar. During the peak season of April-June, a lot of buses would be going directly to Kasol. Bhuntar has all the year connectivity.

By Air:
You can fly from Delhi to Bhuntar Airport and take a taxi or a local transport (bus) to Kasol. The Bhuntar Airport is around 30 kilometers away from Kasol and it takes around an hour to reach Kasol. From Kasol, it is a five hour hike to Tosh.

By Road:
Kasol is one of the most famous tourist destination in Himachal Pradesh. As such, the road connectivity is excellent to this place. The National Highway 3 connects Delhi to Manali and is very pleasant for a road trip.

By Bus:
Regular bus service is available from Delhi to Kasol. They depart from Kashmiri Gate ISBT in Delhi and charge around rupees 1000 per seat in Volvo. The journey takes around 12 hours to complete. The bus goes till Bhuntar. From Bhuntar, you will be required to take another bus or cab to Kasol, from there, it is a five hour hike to Tosh.

By Train:
The nearest railway station to Kasol is Joginder Nagar Railway Station, which is around 140 kilometers away from Kasol. From the railway station, you will be required to take a cab or a bus going towards Manikaran. It takes around 5 hours to reach Kasol via that transport.

Kasol to Tosh hike

It is a two day tour and can be extended for any number of days according to your liking. The trek is for about 6 kms and it can be covered within 5 hours.

The hike from Kasol to Tosh is mesmerizing with the Parvati Valley along side you. During the hike, when you will see a small rivulet falling into the bigger Parvati Valley, it is the starting point of the beautiful Tosh Valley.

The Village has numerous number of small cafes, all of them equally inviting and warm. Indulge in the food of the natives while sipping on warm beverages which will give you relief from the cold weather conditions. The entire Valley is surrounded by picturesque snow capped peaks of the Himalayan ranges and the entire experience will be one of a trance.

Cellular Network at Tosh

BSNL and Airtel networks are available in the village of Tosh, however, the connections might be intermittent. It is very hard to find connections of other networks. All major networks work in Kasol. Jio, Vodafone and Airtel will work upto Manikaran while BSNL is the only network at Kheerganga.
